An Acute Care Naturopathic Consultation is a 10-minute Telehealth appointment designed for one uncomplicated short-term health concern. You’ll receive an assessment, an individualised naturopathic medicine prescription where appropriate, and clear written instructions.

Appointments are available to book up to 72 hrs in advance.

- Consult Fee $40 for 10 minutes
- Consultations need to be paid for at the time of booking
- Herbal Medicines and supplements and postage are an additional cost

What if we discover my concern is more complex?
If, during your consultation, it becomes clear that your symptoms require a more comprehensive assessment I’ll explain why and recommend the most appropriate next step. This may include booking a standard consultation with me or recommending you see your GP or other appropriate healthcare professional.

Acute Respiratory Presentations
✔️ Suitable for:
- Early, uncomplicated cold symptoms
- Mild sore throat
- Runny nose
- Mild cough
- General seasonal immune support
❌ Not suitable if you have: difficulty breathing, chest pain, coughing blood, severe or worsening symptoms
Acute Digestive Presentations
✔️ Suitable for:
- Mild gastro symptoms
- Post-antibiotic support
- Mild transient digestive upset
❌ Not suitable if you have: severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, inability to keep fluids down, significant rectal bleeding, unexplained weight loss, persistent diarrhoea, family history of bowel disease
Acute Stress/Sleep Presentations
✔️ Suitable for:
- Temporary work stress
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Difficulty winding down
- Temporary sleep disruption
❌ Not suitable if you have: suicidal or self-harm thoughts, psychosis, manic symptoms, severe depression, panic attacks requiring assessment, long standing mental health concerns, medication management questions.
Post Antibiotic Support

- Mild bloating
- Loose stools
- No symptoms present but looking to support microbiome recovery
❌ Not suitable if you have:severe diarrhoea, blood in stool, fever, significant abdominal pain

Frequently asked questions about Acute Care Consults
Are Acute care Consults covered under Medicare?
No, Naturopathy does not qualify for Medicare rebates.
Can I book this if I’ve had symptoms for several months?
No. Symptoms should have been present for less than 6 weeks. For symptoms of longer duration book an Initial Consultation (new patients) or Review Consultation (existing patients).
Can I use this service if I’ve worked with Your Remedy Naturopathy before?
Yes, if you meet the suitability criteria you can use this if you are a current or past patient.
Can I use this service if I’ve never seen a naturopath?
Yes, if you meet the suitability criteria you can use this service.
Can I book this for acne, eczema or IBS?
No. Acne and other skin and digestive conditions require a more comprehensive assessment. Please book an Initial Consultation (new patients) or Review Consultation (existing patients).
Can I get dietary advice?
No, as this is a short consultation dietary advice is not provided. Please book an Initial Consultation (new patients) or Review Consultation (existing patients).
How long is an acute care consultation?
10 minutes.
Do I need to be an existing patient?
No, both new and existing patients can book if the concerns meet the suitability criteria.
Will I be prescribed herbal medicine?
If appropriate, an individualised herbal medicine prescription may be provided. Herbal medicines, supplements and postage are additional to the consultation fee.
